Comcast promotes Neil Smit

Comcast Cable president Neil Smit is adding CEO to his title, the conglom announced Wednesday. Smit joined Comcast in 2010 after five years as CEO of Charter Communications. He reports to Brian Roberts, chairman-CEO of Comcast Corp. "Neil has done a phenomenal job," Roberts said. "He has driven innovation, improved the customer experience, increased the speed of the introduction of new products and has expanded our company into new opportunities for profitable growth."
