hi friends, suggest some nice music instrument to learn for relaxation?

hi friends, i am interested to learn some music instrument.. i am
always interested in learning music. i wish to learn pure indian
classical instruments, not western. i already learn mridangam for 11
yrs and keyboard for 1 yr, n then i dropped both.. now i dont wish to
pursue either of them. pls suggest me some nice classical instrument
(not western). and moreover, i am interested only to learn such an
instrument which is capable of hosting a solo show. i dont want to
learn something which wil make me a side kick for some other person...
so pls suggest a suitable instrument.

pls tel me abt the cost of the instrument which u suggest me and also
tel me how difficult it is., to master! pls!
